This cruise line card helps frequent cruisers earn discounts on their next cruise with Royal Caribbean or any of its sister cruise lines.

Review of the Royal Caribbean Visa Signature

The Royal Caribbean Visa Signature gives frequent cruisers a way to save money on their next cruise by earning 2X MyCruise® points on purchases with Royal Caribbean®, Celebrity Cruises, and Azamara Club Cruises® and 1X points on all other purchases.

As a welcome offer for new cardholders will earn 10,000 MyCruise® bonus points redeemable for onboard credits, stateroom upgrades, discounts, cruises and more. Plus new cardholders get a $50 airfare discount through the Air2Sea program when they spend $3,500 within the first 90 days.

Keep in mind that points expire after 5 years, so if you don’t spend very much on the card you’re unlikely to accumulate very many rewards before they expire.

Pro Tip:

You’ll rack up more 2X points for your cruise spending if you stick with Royal Caribbean and its sister lines and take a cruise at least once a year.

The Bottom Line
For deeper discounts and a bigger welcome offer, consider the Celebrity Cruises Visa Signature card (with a $69 annual fee), which also earns MyCruise® points redeemable on Royal Caribbean. Keep in mind, however, that a cruise line-specific card is only worthwhile if you plan to take a cruise with that cruise line (or its sister cruise lines) at least once a year. Otherwise, you should consider a more flexible cash back or travel credit card.
