Review of the Disney Premier Visa Card

If you’re planning a big Disney resort vacation, cruise, or park visit, the Disney Premier Visa Card is a must have. For starters, you’ll earn unlimited 2% Disney Rewards Dollars on gas, groceries, restaurants, and Disney purchases and 1% on everything else.  Disney Rewards Dollars are redeemable toward Disney theme park tickets, Disney resort stays, Disney Cruises, Disney movies, airline tickets, dining and more. And, as a sign-up bonus, after you spend $500 within the first 3 months, you earn a $200 Statement Credit.

In addition to earning statement credits, to help you save for your vacation, for select Disney vacation packages, you’ll also get 0% APR for 6 months, allowing you to pay for your trip over time.

But what really makes this card magical are the discounts and perks.  Cardmembers get 10% off Disney merchandise and dining which can really add up when buying pricey Disney merchandise or and eating three times a day at a Disney park or resort.  In terms of perks, kids will enjoy opportunities to meet their favorite Disney characters at private cardholder locations throughout the parks and at special Disney store events. 

 

The Bottom Line

Because Disney Rewards Dollars are only redeemable toward Disney park tickets, Disney resort stays, Disney Cruises, Disney movies, dining, shopping, etc., this card only makes sense if you're planning a big Disney vacation.
