Best For...

This student card offers good rewards on dining and entertainment, plus a decent sign-up bonus, but is only redeemable through the ThankYou Points program.

The no annual fee Citi ThankYou Preferred Card for College Students offers a way to earn 2X ThankYou® Points on dining and entertainment -- bonus categories that undergratuates often use. In addition, the card offers a sign-up bonus of 2,500 points (worth $25).

ThankYou® Points can be redeemed for a selection of restaurant and retail gift cards, merchandise, Amazon.com purchases, BestBuy.com purchases, JetBlue travel and more.

The Bottom Line

This no-annual fee student card is good for earning dining and entertainment rewards, but the limited redemption options are a draw-back.
